Ambition

Design a multi-faceted touring experiential “camp” geared towards content capture and social sharing for the launch of Hyundai’s 2018 Kona in three key markets (Los Angeles, Santa Fe & Marfa).  

Action

Targeted towards social media active and music loving consumers, we created multiple photo-ready experiences with both passive and active components.  Activations included a shimmering art piece of the Kona formed using whistles, an iterative mirror installation engrossing guests with a 360 image, an adventure-inspired Kona photo booth, a tech/art spin on the classic campfire, and a game where guests could learn to lasso a velociraptor.  A camp-inspired entry gate welcomed guests and - after enjoying the activations - a concert series headlined by Dan Deacon and multiple guest performers (i.e. Best Coast, Yacht) closed the nights.

Impact

With over 1170+ guests in attendance, the tour generated over 60+ pieces of content distributed across digital and social channels, garnering a reach of 10.3M+ unique users. The hero installation build for the program continued to travel the auto-show circuit post campaign!
